Project Engineer I

AtkinsRéalis USA Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer I in Tampa, FL. The role involves observing construction work, preparing change orders, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements, as well as advising project managers on any issues that arise during construction.

Responsibilities

• Observes construction work and prepares change orders as needed
• Researches and interprets contract requirements to determine whether construction work is performed in substantial compliance with plans, specifications and special provisions
• Advises internal project manager and/or owner of any failures or delays
• Reviews pay requests for ultimate payment by client
• Makes substantial completion and final completion statements
• Reviews shop drawings within area of expertise for conformance with design concept
• Performs other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary
• May be assigned to unanticipated work locations throughout the United States
• Remote working or telecommuting permitted in all U.S. States, in accordance with company policy

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field
• One (1) year of experience in job offered or in a related occupation
• Academic training or work experience in AutoCAD
• Academic training or work experience in MS project management
• Academic training or work experience in Construction Materials and Processes
• Academic training or work experience in Quality Control / Field Inspection
• Academic training or work experience in Cost Analysis & Workflow Optimization
• Academic training or work experience in Primavera P6
• Academic training or work experience in Bluebeam
• Academic training or work experience in Project Scheduling & Planning
