Position Overview: Remote Patient Service Representative
We are currently hiring an experienced Remote Customer Service Representative – Patient-Focused Healthcare Support Specialist to join our dynamic, high-energy pharmacy services team. The Remote Patient Service Representative (PSR) role involves direct interaction with patients to influence generic medication utilization, facilitate therapy changes, answer critical questions, solve complex problems, provide patient education, and uphold arenaflex's outstanding reputation for service excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Patient Communication Excellence: Engage directly with patients via incoming and outgoing phone calls, effectively communicating the benefits of generic medications or other appropriate therapeutic alternatives, with a clear goal of generating meaningful savings for both patients and clients.
- Specialty Project Collaboration: Work closely with our Specialty Projects Team to conduct generic conversions and therapy changes on targeted medications, ensuring smooth transitions and patient satisfaction throughout the process.
- Adherence Outreach Initiatives: Take ownership of numerous adherence outreach efforts designed to ensure patients remain on their prescribed medications, stay adherent to their treatment regimens, and maintain compliance with their therapy plans.
- Call Handling and Customer Education: Professionally manage high-volume incoming or outgoing phone calls to patients, healthcare clients, and other customers, proactively gathering comprehensive patient and order information during each interaction.
- Insurance and Reimbursement Navigation: Apply working knowledge of insurance, healthcare systems, and reimbursement-related requirements for dispensing medications, processing new referrals, and providing thorough customer education on benefits and processes.
- Routine Assessment and Escalation: Conduct routine assessments of patient situations, identify potential issues, and appropriately escalate complex clinical questions or concerns to licensed pharmacists when necessary.
- First-Call Resolution: Strive to resolve patient questions and concerns during the initial contact, demonstrating empathy, patience, and problem-solving skills that reflect arenaflex's high standards.
- HIPAA Compliance: Strictly adhere to HIPAA regulations and all governmental compliance requirements, maintaining the highest standards of patient privacy and data security.
- Documentation and Follow-Up: Accurately document all patient interactions, update relevant records, and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding patient needs or referrals.
What We Look For: Required Qualifications
- Customer Service Experience: Minimum of 1+ year of customer service experience handling and successfully resolving customer needs over the phone in a professional setting.
- High-Volume Call Center Background: At least 6+ months of experience in high-volume customer service environments, working efficiently within Windows, Microsoft Office, or similar applications.
- Nevada Residency Required: Candidates must currently reside in the state of Nevada and maintain residency throughout employment, as this is a work-from-home position tied to Nevada operations.
- Educational Credentials: A verifiable High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification is required.
