We are proud to offer a supportive, inclusive environment where every employee can thrive, grow, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our travelers.

Position Overview – Remote Air Customer Service Agent (US)

arenaflex is seeking an enthusiastic, detail‑oriented Air Customer Service Agent to join our remote workforce across the United States. In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison between guests, travel agents, airlines, and internal teams, ensuring that every air‑related inquiry is resolved quickly and accurately. You will handle high‑volume phone calls, chat messages, and emails, manage ticketing transactions, and support crew travel logistics. This position offers a fully remote work arrangement, competitive hourly compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes travel privileges, health coverage, and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Communication: Answer inbound phone calls, chat messages, and emails related to air travel issues, providing courteous and knowledgeable assistance.
  • Ticketing Operations: Perform ticket issuance, refunds, exchanges, and re‑pricing activities using the Sabre reservation system, ensuring compliance with airline policies.
  • PNR Management: Identify and resolve incomplete Passenger Name Records (PNR) caused by missing TSA data or airfares, and realign pricing to capture additional revenue.
  • Ancillary Services: Assign and process ancillary services such as seat upgrades, baggage allowances, and special meal requests per guest instructions.
  • Crew Travel Support: Research and coordinate air schedules for crew members, process last‑minute changes, and ensure budget compliance.
  • Port & Ground Coordination: Communicate flight re‑accommodation details to port agents, hotels, and ground transportation partners to guarantee seamless guest experiences.
  • Quality Assurance: Certify all issued air tickets by updating the ticket match exception report and monitor daily queue volumes to meet service level agreements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, including shipboard email inboxes, to resolve en‑route issues and support the broader travel operations team.
  • Culture & Values: Uphold arenaflex’s Culture Essentials, demonstrate core values in daily interactions, and contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by leadership that fall within the scope of the role.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1‑2 years experience in a high‑volume travel, hospitality, or call‑center environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong computer literacy.
  • Demonstrated expertise with the Sabre airline reservation system, including booking creation, ticketing, exchanges, pricing, routing, and queue management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, travel agents, airlines, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and a keen eye for detail when handling complex ticketing scenarios.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; arenaflex does not sponsor employment visas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting crew travel logistics for cruise or airline operations.
  • Familiarity with TSA regulations and airfare data validation processes.
  • Experience in remote work environments, demonstrating self‑discipline and effective time management.
  • Multilingual capabilities, especially in Spanish or French, to serve a diverse guest base.
  • Certification or coursework in travel and tourism, hospitality management, or related fields.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Passion for delivering exceptional service and creating positive guest experiences.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data, identify discrepancies in PNRs, and implement corrective actions swiftly.
  • Team Collaboration: Comfortable working with cross‑functional teams, sharing knowledge, and supporting collective goals.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑paced environment, handling fluctuating call volumes and evolving travel policies.
  • Integrity & Professionalism: Consistently uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance with industry regulations.

  • Mentorship from senior travel operations leaders, providing pathways to supervisory or specialist roles within the broader travel and hospitality divisions.
  • Opportunities to participate in cross‑departmental projects, gaining exposure to marketing, revenue management, and technology initiatives.
