Position Overview – Remote Live Chat Data Entry Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Live Chat Data Entry Specialist to join our dynamic Data & Analytics team. This role sits at the intersection of customer service, data engineering, and business insight generation. You will work closely with utility teams, product owners, and agile delivery squads to capture, transform, and enrich high‑volume data streams that power our next‑generation analytics platform. Key Responsibilities

As a Live Chat Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for the following core duties:

  • Collaborate with utility teams to outline, model, and capture business requirements for data ingestion from live chat interactions.
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines that feed the Enterprise Data Lake using technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python.
  • Design and implement scalable record model architectures that enable consistent metric definitions and high‑quality statistical analysis.
  • Perform rigorous data validation and testing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability across batch and real‑time analytical solutions.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve data processing efficiency within the massive data ecosystem.
  • Drive the creation of Customer Voice (VOC) analytics, translating raw chat transcripts into structured insights that inform product strategy.
  • Partner with GSN and AET colleagues to prioritize, define, and monitor data for multiple use cases as part of the VOC “Stop‑to‑Quit” methodology.
  • Automate repetitive data handling tasks, reducing manual effort and increasing throughput.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies—daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives—to deliver incremental value to business stakeholders.
  • Document data models, transformation logic, and operational procedures to support knowledge sharing and compliance.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, and shell scripting in a production environment.
