Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

Core Transaction Processing

  • Perform daily data entry and reconciliation of member transactions, ensuring accuracy across all accounts.
  • Process ACH files, wire transfers, direct deposits, and loan payments in accordance with NACHA rules and Federal banking regulations.
  • Review, approve, and post Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), mobile deposits, ATM transactions, and other image‑enabled products.
  • Execute stop payments, check batches, and other exception handling procedures with meticulous attention to detail.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Coordinate return items with members, external vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other financial institutions.
  • Assist internal departments with fraud investigations, member inquiries, and general ledger adjustments.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the Treasury team to facilitate timely and accurate fund transfers.
  • Provide clear, courteous support to members via phone, email, and chat, resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Adhere to strict NACHA regulations, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements, and internal policies to safeguard member data.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of incoming and outgoing wire transfer data, confirming compliance with legal standards.
  • Document all activities in audit‑ready logs, ensuring traceability for internal and external examinations.
  • Participate in regular compliance training and pass arenaflex‑mandated pre‑employment and ongoing assessments.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports for management review.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce error rates.
  • Support cross‑training initiatives, sharing knowledge with teammates to build a resilient, multi‑skill workforce.

Essential Qualifications – What We Require

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional coursework in finance, accounting, or business is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1‑2 years in a customer service or member services role, preferably within a banking or credit union environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with banking software such as Episys or Symitar is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong numerical aptitude and the capacity to perform accurate calculations quickly.
