Our Core Operating Systems organization drives the innovation behind the operating systems that power millions of devices worldwide, from smartphones and laptops to wearables and smart TVs. At arenaflex, we believe that great technology starts with great people, and we invest heavily in talent that thrives on collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

Why This Role Matters

As a Workflow Systems Analyst within the Platform Services & Operations group of Core OS, you will be at the heart of arenaflex’s mission to deliver world‑class software experiences. You will design, build, and scale workflow tooling that empowers engineering teams to ship high‑quality software faster, with data‑driven insights that shape product direction and operational excellence. Your work will directly influence the performance of flagship platforms such as iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS, ensuring that every line of code contributes to a cohesive, high‑impact user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dashboard Development & Visualization: Create, maintain, and iterate on interactive Tableau dashboards that surface critical metrics, track progress toward goals, and enable data‑driven decision‑making across multiple engineering teams.
  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Conduct deep‑dive analyses to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities within large data sets, translating raw data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Workflow Mapping & Optimization: Document current workflow states, identify bottlenecks, and propose targeted improvements that increase efficiency, reduce cycle time, and enhance overall quality.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and operations teams to align analytics initiatives with business objectives and engineering roadmaps.
  • Change Management & Advocacy: Serve as a catalyst for continuous improvement, championing data‑driven culture, and guiding teams through the adoption of new tools, processes, and metrics.
  • Iterative Delivery: Release dashboard prototypes, gather stakeholder feedback, and refine deliverables in an agile, user‑centric manner.
  • Metrics Definition & Governance: Define, document, and enforce standards for key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflect the health of software delivery pipelines.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or a closely related role.
  • Strong foundation in analytics concepts, including descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data sets into clear, compelling visual stories that influence decision‑making at all organizational levels.
  • Advanced Tableau development skills, including calculated fields, parameters, dashboard actions, and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in SQL: writing aggregation queries, nested sub‑queries, and performing data validation and cleansing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with software development analytics such as CI/CD pipelines, DORA metrics, and LEAN software delivery principles.
  • Hands‑on experience building data pipelines for software engineering, including build logs, test results, and code deployment metrics.
  • Product ownership experience: taking end‑to‑end responsibility for analytics deliverables, driving projects from inception through measurable impact.
  • Project management expertise: coordinating cross‑functional initiatives, aligning teams around shared objectives, and ensuring timely delivery of analytics solutions.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data warehousing technologies (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).

Core Competencies & Skills

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex problems, identify root causes, and propose data‑backed solutions.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting technical findings to non‑technical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated success working in matrixed environments, building trust with engineers, product managers, and senior leaders.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating fast‑paced, ambiguous environments while maintaining focus on high‑impact outcomes.
  • Attention to Detail: Rigorous approach to data quality, validation, and reproducibility.
