Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-13

The Foundation for the Young Women’s Leadership Academy (FYWLA) is committed to empowering young women through educational excellence, leadership development, and community engagement. Through strategic partnerships, donor investment, and mission-driven programming, the Foundation seeks to create transformative opportunities that prepare students for lifelong success. Project Overview: The Foundation is seeking proposals from qualified communications consultants or firms to lead a strategic communications initiative designed to strengthen donor engagement, elevate organizational visibility, and amplify the Foundation’s mission and impact. This short-term, high-impact engagement will focus on developing the foundational communications assets, messaging architecture, and strategic framework necessary to support long-term fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and organizational growth. The selected consultant will partner closely with Foundation leadership, staff, board members, and key stakeholders to assess current communications practices and develop a cohesive, donor-centered communications strategy. The engagement will establish clear organizational positioning, articulate a compelling value proposition, and create aligned messaging that effectively communicates the Foundation’s mission, priorities, outcomes, and future vision to diverse audiences. A primary objective of this initiative is to strengthen the Foundation’s ability to engage current and prospective donors through consistent, impactful storytelling that demonstrates measurable community impact and inspires philanthropic investment. The consultant will help identify and refine key narratives, messaging themes, and audience-specific communication approaches that support donor cultivation, stewardship, and retention efforts. In addition, the consultant will develop a comprehensive communications framework that promotes consistency across all internal and external communications channels. This framework should provide practical tools and guidance that enable staff and leadership to communicate with greater clarity, confidence, and alignment. Deliverables may include messaging platforms, audience profiles, key narrative statements, communications guidelines, donor-facing messaging tools, and recommendations for ongoing content development and outreach. Through this engagement, the Foundation seeks to build a stronger communications foundation that enhances organizational credibility, increases stakeholder understanding of its work, strengthens donor relationships, and positions the organization for sustained growth and impact.
