Position Overview

We are looking for a talented Remote Live Chat Data Entry Specialist who is passionate about customer service, data accuracy, and leveraging technology to solve real-world business challenges. This unique hybrid role combines traditional live chat customer support with advanced data entry responsibilities tied to our proprietary Big Data platforms. Reporting to the Customer Experience Operations Manager, you will work closely with utility teams, relationship managers, product owners, and data engineering colleagues to capture, define, and transform business needs into actionable data insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, an analytical mindset, and hands-on experience with modern data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, PySpark, and Python.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with customers through live chat platforms to address inquiries, resolve issues, and capture valuable customer feedback in real time.
  • Collaborate closely with utility teams to define, structure, and document business requirements that align with strategic organizational goals.
  • Apply a growing understanding of Voice of the Customer (VOC) methodologies to collect, analyze, and transform customer data within the arenaflex Big Data platform.
  • Design and build robust, scalable data model architectures that support optimal data processing, standardized metric definitions, and reliable reporting.
  • Develop and maintain big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions using transformational technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python.
  • Ensure data first-rate quality and accuracy through intensive testing at both variable and use case levels, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to enhance platform capabilities and drive efficiency in computing programs across the Big Data ecosystem.
  • Support consumer story analysis and elaboration, contributing to the design and development of software programs, testing frameworks, and build automation tools.
  • Proactively identify manual processes and design automation solutions to improve operational quality, speed, and efficiency.
  • Partner with GSN (Global Services Network) and AET (Analytics Engineering Team) colleagues to prioritize, define, develop, and test datasets for various use cases as part of the VOC end-to-end strategy.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, data transformations, and process improvements in compliance with arenaflex data governance policies.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings as part of our Agile delivery framework.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on development experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, and Shell scripting languages for data-driven projects.
  • Prior experience in customer service, live chat support, or data entry roles is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with development lifecycle management, build tools, and troubleshooting techniques for enterprise data projects.
  • Proven ability to actively collaborate with relationship managers and product owners to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
  • Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies, including the delivery of small product increments at regular intervals to business stakeholders.
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining high standards in all written communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic remote work environment.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications, navigating online systems, and adapting quickly to new software platforms.
  • Flexible availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.

  • Experience working in a fully remote capacity with distributed teams across multiple geographies.
  • Familiarity with customer feedback analytics, sentiment analysis, and survey-based insight generation.
  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant compliance frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they escalate.
