Our client is a leading logistics and transportation company seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Logistics Coordinator to join their dedicated fleet management team. This fully remote position is ideal for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for optimizing transportation operations. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing daily fleet activities, ensuring efficient route planning, timely deliveries, and effective communication between drivers, dispatch, and clients. Key responsibilities include monitoring driver performance, managing delivery schedules, troubleshooting logistical challenges, maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in logistics software and GPS tracking systems, and a solid understanding of transportation best practices. You should be adept at problem-solving and thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment. This role offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our extensive transportation network. Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage daily activities of a large fleet of vehicles. Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure efficiency and timeliness. Monitor driver performance and adherence to schedules using GPS tracking systems. Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and customers regarding delivery status and potential issues. Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges that arise during operations. Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and compliance documentation. Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Process shipping documents and update shipment statuses in the transportation management system (TMS). Assist with the onboarding and training of new drivers. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in logistics coordination, fleet management, or a related transportation role. Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and GPS tracking software. Strong understanding of route planning, dispatch operations, and delivery logistics. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
