Audio Visual (AV) Design EngineerLocation: REMOTE Department: Engineering / Technology SolutionsPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual (AV) Design Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, specifying, and supporting integrated audiovisual systems for a variety of commercial and institutional projects. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with creative problem-solving to deliver high-quality AV solutions that meet client needs and industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop AV systems for projects including corporate offices, conference rooms, classrooms, and large-scale venuesTranslate client requirements into detailed system designs, including schematics, signal flow diagrams, and equipment specificationsGenerate complete design documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design toolsCollaborate with sales, project management, and installation teams to ensure seamless project deliverySpecify AV equipment such as displays, projection systems, audio systems, control systems, and networked AV solutionsPerform system calculations including acoustics, sightlines, and signal distributionReview and validate technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standardsSupport commissioning and troubleshooting of AV systems as neededStay current with emerging AV technologies and industry best practicesParticipate in client meetings, design reviews, and presentationsQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Engineering, Audio Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of experience in AV system design or a similar technical roleProficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit for AV system designStrong understanding of AV technologies, including audio DSP systems, video distribution, control systems, and networking fundamentalsFamiliarity with major AV manufacturers (e.g., Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Shure)Ability to read and interpret architectural and electrical drawingsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsPreferredCTS-D (Certified Technology Specialist - Design) certification or equivalentExperience with AV over IP technologiesKnowledge of acoustical modeling and simulation toolsExperience with unified communications platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms) Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
