They are seeking a full-time associate attorney to join their litigation team, primarily focusing on civil litigation, family law, and criminal law. The role includes conducting legal research, preparing motions, and attending court appearances, with opportunities for mentorship and growth.

Responsibilities

• Conducting legal research
• Preparing and responding to motions and pleadings
• Attending hearings and court appearances
• Reviewing and summarizing various records
• Meeting with clients
• Propounding/responding to written discovery
• Taking and defending depositions
• Trial opportunities also exist

Skills

• Active member of the State Bar of California (Will consider an applicant who is pending bar results)
• 0-6 years of experience in civil litigation, criminal law and/or family law preferred
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills
• The ability to communicate effectively and handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner
• Bilinguality is a positive
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Lexis/Nexis, and familiarity with Smokeball or Clio is a positive
• Admission to and familiarity with US District Court litigation is helpful
• Experience drafting discovery, pleadings, dispositive motions, and trial preparation
