Money Management International (MMI) is a non-profit agency that helps create, restore, and maintain a life of financial wellness through empowered choices. They are seeking a Credit Counselor to work with individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, providing counseling sessions via phone and online. The role requires strong customer service and sales skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with individuals and families experiencing financial hardship
- Complete a full budget analysis
- Make suggestions to move clients forward to financial success and independence
- Conduct counseling sessions via phone and online via web chat
Skills
- Able to use empathy working with people experiencing emotional distress
- Able to utilize motivational techniques to help clients move forward in the direction that is best for their circumstances
- Ability to work independently in a telework environment
- Technical skills needed to maintain your home office and utilize on-line tools to work efficiently in your role
- Strong backgrounds in customer service and sales in a call center setting
- Financial Services experience
