Medicaid Implementation Project Manager with Healthcare Payer
Hi Professionals, Medicaid Implementation Project Manager (Remote - EST)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Medicaid implementations, state onboarding, regulatory changes, and platform upgrades.
- Manage program plans across business, IT, data, vendors, and state agencies.
- Drive cutover, go-live readiness, stabilization, and compliance with CMS/state Medicaid regulations.
- Oversee claims, eligibility, enrollment, provider data, credentialing, and benefits workflows.
- Provide executive reporting on risks, timelines, dependencies, and financials.
- Manage delivery using Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
- Track progress using JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Smartsheet.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of Project/Program Management experience.
- Strong Medicaid (Healthcare Payer) experience – Mandatory.
- Experience with large-scale implementations and state Medicaid agencies.
- Expertise in claims, eligibility, enrollment, and provider workflows.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- PMP or SAFe certification.
- Experience with member/provider portals.
- Knowledge of EDI transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 278).
- Experience managing onshore/offshore teams.
