Senior Underwriting Operations Specialist

Position Summary The Senior Underwriting Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing underwriting processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze risk data, and contribute to strategic decision-making. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication. What will your job entail? Job Responsibilities: · Provide leadership and guidance to junior underwriters and other staff members. · Develop and implement underwriting strategies to achieve business objectives. · Develop and update underwriting policies and procedures. · Oversee the risk assessment process and make final underwriting decisions on complex cases. · Conduct training programs for underwriting staff and ensure their professional development. · Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of underwriting operations. · Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including brokers, agents, and clients, to maintain strong relationships. · Oversee compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. · Monitor and evaluate the performance of the underwriting team and take corrective actions when necessary. · Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform underwriting strategies. Work Experience and Education: · Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or Business with a minimum of 8 years of experience. The target salary range for this position is $136,000.00 - $170,000.00 annually. The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
