Our client, a cutting-edge biotechnology firm located in the heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US , is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Molecular Biologist to join their dynamic research and development team. This role is pivotal in driving forward innovative projects focused on therapeutic target identification and validation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in molecular biology techniques, experimental design, and data analysis. Responsibilities include developing and executing complex experimental protocols, analyzing and interpreting experimental data, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of research initiatives. You will be expected to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including geneticists, pharmacologists, and computational biologists, to achieve project milestones. Furthermore, the Senior Molecular Biologist will mentor junior research staff, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the preparation of research reports, publications, and patent applications. Develop and optimize novel assays and protocols for target identification and validation. Troubleshoot technical challenges and implement effective solutions. Interpret and present experimental results to research teams and management. Contribute to the writing of research papers, reports, and grant proposals. Mentor and guide junior scientists and research associates. Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and documentation. Stay current with scientific literature and emerging technologies. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral or industry experience in molecular biology research. Extensive hands-on experience with techniques such as PCR, qPCR, Western Blotting, cloning, gene expression analysis, and cell-based assays. Proven track record of successful experimental design and data interpretation. Strong understanding of genomics, proteomics, and related fields is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff. Proficiency in data analysis software.
