Appointment Setter (Music Industry)

We work predominantly in the music industry partnering with both globally recognized names and emerging artists and companies shaping what's next. We are looking for an Appointment Setter to take ownership of the front half of our sales process. This role runs discovery calls with musicians, managers, and labels, audits where they currently stand, and builds out proposals using our internal workflow. You hand off to leadership for closing. This is a high-volume, on-camera role for someone who knows the music industry, presents well, and moves fast inside a system. What You'll Be Doing You will own the first stage of every sales conversation that comes through AUSTERE. Discovery + Sales Calls
- Run 20-30 discovery calls per week with musicians, managers, and labels
- Calls are 20 minutes and built to move quickly
- Audit the prospect's current branding, social presence, and positioning live on the call
- Identify the right scope of work to recommend based on their goals and stage
- Represent AUSTERE with warmth, professionalism, and clarity on every call
Proposal Building
- Build proposals using our documented workflow and template structure
- Customize each proposal based on the prospect's needs and conversation
- Draft the send-off email for leadership review
Pipeline + Handoff
- Keep our CRM clean and the pipeline organized
- Hand off prospects to leadership for closing calls and contract sends
- Track patterns across calls to inform how we refine the process over time
Who You Are
- You work in the music industry and understand what artists, managers, and labels are navigating
- You present well on camera with strong lighting and a professional setup
- You are warm, personable, and easy to talk to from the first minute
- You use TikTok and Instagram and can speak to what is working on each
- You can look at an artist's profile and form a real opinion on their positioning
- You move fast, stay organized, and follow a process without needing to be managed
- You are not currently building your own artist project (preferred, not required)
Required Experience
- Direct experience working in the music industry (label, management, agency, publicity, A&R, or similar)
- Working understanding of marketing and social media strategy at the artist level
- Strong on-camera presence and communication skills
- Comfortable running back-to-back calls at volume
- Experience with CRMs, proposal tools, and remote collaboration platforms
- Sales or client-facing experience is a strong plus

Role Details
- 1099 contractor
- Hourly compensation
- Commission opportunity available after sustained strong performance and proven conversion
- Volume will scale as the workflow stabilizes
