Senior Remote Logistics Coordinator

Our client, a rapidly growing logistics and supply chain management company, is seeking an experienced Senior Remote Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize our transportation operations. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining the flexibility of remote work with essential in-office collaboration. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing carrier relationships, and ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods across various regions. This position requires a strong understanding of logistics, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage all aspects of domestic and international freight movement, including air, sea, and ground transportation. Negotiate rates and service agreements with carriers to ensure cost-effectiveness and optimal performance. Track shipments in real-time, proactively identify potential delays, and implement solutions to mitigate risks. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipments, carrier information, and delivery confirmations within the logistics management system. Develop and implement efficient routing and load planning strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. Collaborate with warehouse teams, customs brokers, and other third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth operations. Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and import/export permits. Analyze logistics data to identify trends, measure performance, and recommend improvements in operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners regarding shipment status, potential issues, and resolutions. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation management, or a similar role. Demonstrated experience in managing hybrid work environments and collaborating effectively with both remote and in-office teams. Strong knowledge of transportation modes, international shipping regulations, and customs procedures. Proficiency in using logistics management software (LMS) and ERP systems. Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with carriers and stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance. Familiarity with the transportation landscape in the Seattle, Washington, US area is a plus.
