Location: Remote Position Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor (Project-Based) About M Hudson Design M Hudson Design (MHD) is a premier, ultra-luxury landscape architecture firm based in West Palm Beach, Florida. We are pioneering the world’s first fully integrated experiential design process. We don't just show our clients 2D plans; we build immersive, cinematic 3D digital twins of their future estates, allowing them to experience their homes before ground is ever broken. We are seeking highly skilled 3D Modelers to join our remote production team. Because our projects are fully integrated, we are looking for specialists across three distinct tracks: Architectural, Landscape, and Interior. You may apply if you specialize in one track, or if you are a generalist capable of handling all three. The Role As a 3D Modeler at MHD, you are the structural backbone of our experiential process. You will take 2D CAD plans, sketches, and creative direction from our lead designers and translate them into highly accurate, detailed 3D geometry. Your models will not just be static files; they will be imported into real-time rendering engines (D5 Render, Unreal Engine) and merged with other disciplines. Therefore, strict layer discipline, optimized poly-counts, and clean geometry are absolutely critical. Key Responsibilities (By Discipline Track) Track A: Architectural Modeler

• Translate 2D floor plans and elevations into precise 3D massing models.
• Refine massing into highly detailed structural models, including exact rooflines,

window mullions, wall thicknesses, and exterior architectural details.

• Ensure the model aligns perfectly with the site topography and coordinate systems.

Track B: Landscape Modeler

• Model complex outdoor rooms, hardscape layouts, and custom pool geometry.
• Manipulate organic topography and grading based on site data and design intent.
• Place proxy vegetation and trees accurately according to the planting plan, preparing the scene for final high-res asset replacement in the render engine.

Track C: Interior Modeler

• Model key interior spaces, including custom millwork, kitchen layouts, and ceiling details.
• Source and place high-quality 3D furniture assets that match the specified interior design mood boards.
• Ensure interior dimensions and clearances are perfectly accurate to the design intent.

General Responsibilities (All Tracks)

• Maintain incredibly strict layer, tag, and component organization so your file can be merged with other disciplines without crashing the master model.
• Optimize geometry to keep file sizes manageable while retaining high-fidelity detail.
• Collaborate via Monday.com to receive feedback and execute revisions within tight 48-

72 hour turnaround windows. Required Skills & Qualifications

• Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in SketchUp Studio and/or Rhino 8.

• Translation Skills: Proven ability to accurately read and translate 2D CAD drawings and architectural sketches into 3D space.
• File Hygiene: Demonstrated experience in building clean, optimized models with rigorous layer/tag management.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing detailed 3D modeling work in your specific discipline (Architecture, Landscape, or Interiors). Note: We are evaluating your modeling geometry here, not your rendering skills.
• Communication: Ability to work efficiently in a remote, deadline-driven environment with clear English communication.

Bonus Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience exporting models specifically for real-time engines like D5 Render,

Twinmotion, or Unreal Engine.

• Familiarity with Trimble Connect or BIM 360 for cloud collaboration.
• Understanding of South Florida / Caribbean architectural and landscape styles.
