Associate Investigator, Trust and Safety

Description:

  • Manage high volumes of inquiries in Intercom and communicate clearly and professionally with users.
  • Review sign-up, login, and transaction fraud triggers and block fraudulent platform behavior.
  • Conduct investigations to detect suspicious activity, including identity and payment verification sessions.
  • Review user content for compliance with community guidelines and Terms of Service.
  • Process and manage global data deletion requests.
  • Research and document complex chargeback disputes.
  • Look for opportunities to improve internal processes and workflows.
  • Help maintain marketplace integrity and trust across the platform.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Trust & Safety, Risk Operations, or Customer Support.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate evolving fraud trends.
  • High emotional resilience and adaptability in a fast-changing operational environment.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with a focus on objectivity and clarity.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Passion for helping make the internet a safer, more trustworthy place.
  • Energized by investigating issues and working collaboratively with others.
  • Have a sense of humor and enjoy working with others.
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets is a plus.
  • Experience with Stripe and Intercom, or similar CRM and payment platforms, is a plus.
  • Prior experience with Forter, Sift, or other automated fraud detection tools is a plus.
  • Experience handling marketplace-specific disputes is a plus.
