As a Customer Service Specialist - Order Management, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our customers receive the products and services they need to save lives. You'll work closely with hospitals, blood banks, and other healthcare organizations to manage orders, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Specialist - Order Management, your key responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and processing routine orders for blood and pharmaceutical products, as well as transfusion-related supplies
- Ensuring accurate order entry and order fulfillment, and making follow-up calls to resolve any issues
- Determining the most economical method of transportation for hospital shipments
- Maintaining and working with data, tools, and computer programs to facilitate management and monitoring of product and service information
- Rotating inventory of primary and remote facilities to ensure adequate supplies of products for customer needs
- Providing customer service to clients, including proactive communication to increase customer satisfaction
- Investigating and resolving hospital shipment problems
- Receiving, investigating, and communicating related to customer concerns, and completing customer concerns documentation accurately and timely
- Assisting hospital personnel with inventory alternatives when requested products are unavailable within established guidelines and procedures
What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
- Progressive experience in a dynamic, multi-task operational environment preferred
- Experience in blood or pharmaceutical inventory management, hospital customer relations, or logistics is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of customers and staff (paid and volunteer)
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of computers
