Civil Engineer (Entry Level)
LBE, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a motivated full-time EIT or Entry Level Civil Engineer in its Moncks Corner, SC office. The candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience working for an engineering firm and must hold at least a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. The candidate must have experience with civil design, detailing, and other relevant documentation. Our projects include new construction and renovation projects across federal, commercial, and industrial business sectors in the United States and abroad. Job Responsibilities
- Support project teams by assisting with design, analysis, permitting and construction oversight. Support role for projects will start from conceptual phase, design completion and through construction phase. These responsibilities include but are not limited to performing calculations, creating site layouts, site grading, and utility design.
- Apply strong knowledge of commonly used civil engineering and design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the civil engineering industry.
- Establish and implement standards, processes, procedures, and workflows.
- Perform construction administration activities – responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and other related activities.
- May perform project or design management duties.
- May travel (<10%) to customer sites for field inspections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other qualifying ABET accredited program.
- EIT or actively registered for the FE exam.
- Basic knowledge of applicable design and building codes, including IBC, ACI, ASCE, ASTM and NFPA Fire Code.
- Basic knowledge with NPDES and Land Disturbance permits
- Working production software skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Bluebeam, Hydrology and Hydraulic Modelling Software (i.e., Storm and Sewer Analysis, StormCAD, Pondpack, ICPR, etc.).
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks accurately, effectively, and confidently.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, problem-solving skills, and nurtures and value workplace safety.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills along with strong people skills.
- This position requires the candidate to be eligible for a U.S. Security clearance.
Desired Experience
- Experience working with Federal/Military Facilities.
- Knowledge of the UFC and UFGS.
- Ability to develop specifications in SpecsIntact formatting/software.

Location: South Carolina (Required) Salary Range: $85,000-$105,000 per year Language: English (Required) Work Location: One location In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not have the option for remote work, it is an in office position at our Moncks Corner, SC location. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorhip. Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
