The Full-Stack Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, modern eCommerce solutions that support Patrick Industries’ portfolio of brands. This role combines configuration and custom development to create efficient, sustainable, and high-performing web platforms. The Full-Stack Web Developer will ensure that solutions emphasize flexibility, maintainability, and long-term scalability while continuously improving user experience and site performance.

Responsibilities

And Duties

  • Design, develop, and maintain WooCommerce-based websites built on WordPress.
  • Lead onboarding and migration of business units to a standardized WooCommerce platform.
  • Assist with content, product, and customer data migration from legacy systems (e.g., Magento).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality digital solutions.
  • Configure and extend WooCommerce functionality using hooks, filters, and APIs without modifying core code.
  • Develop reusable UI components and templates aligned with brand and accessibility standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure maintainable, high-quality code.
  • Work within project management tools (e.g., JIRA) to manage backlog and prioritize tasks based on business impact.
  • Monitor and optimize site performance, security, and scalability across multiple brands.
  • Stay informed of emerging web technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.

Qualifications

And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a full-stack web developer in a commercial eCommerce environment.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain scalable sites within WooCommerce.
  • Experience with Elementor or similar page builders preferred.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or other project management systems.
  • Comfortable managing staging and production deployments.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser testing, and web performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with Git workflows and collaborative version control practices.
  • Understanding of caching, CDNs, and basic DevOps best practices.
  • Awareness of web security and accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Experience with Magento for occasional support and migration projects.
  • Familiarity with multi-site or multi-brand environments and CI/CD pipelines
