This role serves as a key client-facing leader, ensuring effective program execution, strong cross-functional coordination, and high-quality delivery aligned with client expectations.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">Operating within a global, matrixed CRO environment, the Senior Portfolio Manager partners closely with Project Management, Business Development, and Finance to support program delivery, financial accuracy, and client satisfaction. The role focuses on execution excellence, risk identification, and portfolio-level coordination, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and portfolio management best practices.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Essential Responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned strategic client programs, maintaining strong working relationships and ensuring alignment with client expectations</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Support a client-centric approach to program delivery, working in close partnership with site-based Project Managers</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Provide consistent communication and coordination across clients and internal stakeholders</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Oversee delivery of programs across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with timelines, scope, and quality expectations</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Partner with Project Managers to support execution across all phases, from analytical development through project close-out</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Ensure visibility into program status, key milestones, and potential risks</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Collaborate with Business Development, Proposals, and Finance to support scope alignment and updates, pricing and contract modifications (as needed), resolution of invoicing and purchase order issues</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Act as a liaison across functions to ensure smooth program execution and stakeholder alignment</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Execute client governance meetings, including preparation of materials, facilitation, and follow-up actions</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to governance forums to support informed decision-making</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Proactively identify risks and issues, escalating through appropriate channels and supporting resolution</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Support portfolio financial performance through forecast accuracy, invoicing accuracy, milestone tracking and financial coordination with Finance</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Contribute to the development and tracking of additional portfolio KPIs</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Promote consistency in portfolio and program execution by recommending and reinforcing best practices</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Support the adoption of tools, templates, and processes that enhance delivery and visibility</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Contribute to PMO initiatives and continuous improvement efforts, including supporting transformation activities as needed</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Minimum Preferred Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"> Education & Experience</span></p> <ul> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field (Master’s preferred)</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">8 – 10+ years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO environments</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">3 – 5 years’ experience in project/program management, including multi-site program delivery</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">3 – 5 years’ experience in portfolio-level coordination or oversight for strategic accounts</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Experience in bioanalytical services preferred</span></li> <li style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #000000;">Exposure to CDMO/CMO environments a plus</span></li> </ul>
